Apocalyptic Mind Debris is the virtual showroom or art gallery if you will for me (Duane Addy) to display some of my artwork outside of my everyday life of Architectural Design and Digital Media Development. I have always had a great interest in the development of fantasy style art, digital matte painting as well as character development and thought now may be the time to start showcasing some of my art I have been working on.
Over the years I have watched and admired such inspiring artists as Derek Riggs (Iron Maiden Covers), Tommy Pons (Dangerous Toys Covers), Mattias Noren (Prog Art) and Raymond Swanland (Disturbed Asylum Cover, Abe’s Odyssey, Abe’s Exodus) to name but a few. These artists along with many traditional artists have influenced my style and hopefully you will enjoy seeing new pieces over the next few months.
Apocalyptic Mind Debris is a lyric I have always thought was interesting and have taken it from the song Constant Motion by Dream Theater. As a huge fan their music has also played a heavy hand in my influences and I thought what better name to put to this gallery. After all alot of these piece are leftover fragments in my mind from other projects. I may design buildings, media projects and even programming schematics but they all play a role in how the imagination generates ideas.
